CREATIVE PRODUCER

DIRECTING

As a director my mission is to tell Canadian diasporic stories in the scripted and unscripted genre. Focusing on themes of Black love, self love, representation, and challenging taboo topics within the Black community.

I hope to combine my love for acting, filmmaking, and advocacy work to tell stories for millennial Black audiences.

THE IDEA OF THE BLACK DOLLAR

Logline: During a global pandemic that has seen the best local businesses close down. The Idea of the Black Dollar follows Black female entrepreneurs as they navigate sustaining their first brick and mortar's in Toronto.

NO JUSTICE NO PEACE!

Synopsis:  No Justice No Peace is a short film about police brutality within the Black community in Toronto and how over 40 years later we as a community are still facing the same problems. It takes the underbelly of the 1978 Buddy Evans protest and puts it with the faces of Black youth of today.

This film reflects on how the pain of our ancestors still affects us. Nothing has changed.
